My birthday so far...

Starburst clock from the hubby, pinstriped canisters (I provided the canisters) from Lunchbox at New Life Tattoo, Shrunken Head from the ladies at work, and beautiful flowers delivered to the office from my man.

This weekend promises to be fruitful as today I am headed to Gibson City to the Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Theater! I'm so excited :) Also, I forced my mother to buy me a hammock for my birthday. I cannot WAIT to receive it!

You know, that shrunken head got Calabrese stuck in my brain. "Shrunken Head Kids", you should check it out. haha!

Oh well, off to derby practice! See ya!!

I won this over at Aesthetic Outburst. I check her blog all the time, so crafty! She does a 20 in 20 giveaway and this was my favorite item! I'm so fortunate, they will look perfect in our kitchen! Now I just need to find a neat way to display them. Idears?

Trixie Dog

It has been a tough week. I'm not looking for a pity party, but if it happens I'll put my party hat on.

A week ago today my doggie escaped the backyard, and we live on a busy street. She was hit :( After overnight stay in the hospital and many trips to the vet she's home now and gaining pep in her step.

Amazingly, she didn't break any bones, but she did have a bit of head trauma as well as fluid in the lungs. She's such a badass though and it trotting around as I type. It is so amazing to see how quickly she is able to show her personality again.

She is still quite sore, and you can see the intense bruising on her chest. She also is too sore to do stairs or jump on the couch like normal, but I know she'll get there. I just can't wait to watch her run circles in the backyard again.

Anyway, thought I'd give an excuse for my non-posting. Perhaps today I'll find some time to research something cool and post about it. It has been a while since I've used this blog for anything but personal info! haha

i got an awesome haul at ReStore! doesnt this all go beautifully together? we don't have an ironing board so this lil guy is perfect! also, the kitchen has needed this clock for awhile. can't believe i actually found one!
