Dressing vintage is a topic that has always scared me. I read so many beautiful blogs about so many beautiful people that can do it, but I've always been intimidated.

yay for weekends! ours was just as entertaining as i hoped it would be!
we saw SCOTS (Southern Culture on the Skids) in Springfield, IL which, of course was amazing! I'm not going to lie, hearing banana puddin' live is something I've always dreamed of :)
Then, I had the pleasure of staying at a fellow tiki friend's home so we wouldn't have to drive back. Boy oh boy did I enjoy staying there! I didn't take a lot of pictures, they are somewhat private people but have an AMAZING home. I wish I would have documented the tiki mug collection that was in every room. Bookcases and bookcases full! Tiki bar downstairs. Every room straight out of Atomic Ranch. *Sigh* Home ownership...
Below is a picture from the bathroom, with loads of vintage chalkware! That is only half the collection, it went on and on!
I spotted this in the dark and knew immediately what it was! Apparently, they got it for a steal on ebay a couple years back. I originally saw it on this post at Retro Renovation. Go Witco! Never thought I'd see one in real life :) They also have all kinds of amazing legit Shag artwork hanging around.

Do you feel jipped? Me too, I suck at blogging. The goal was to educate about vintage kitcheny things. Now here I am not even educating myself! *Sigh* Roller derby, it just really takes it out of you!
Here are some pictures. I plan to do this a lot, so at least we'll have some eye candy, eh?
